Editorial Standards

How listings are researched, described, corrected and ranked.

Effective / last updated: August 10, 2026

This is a comprehensive operational draft, not legal advice. Have qualified Texas counsel review it before a commercial launch.

Sources and verification

We prioritize official studio websites and public booking pages, then reputable local reporting or professional listings. Each profile links to a representative research source. We separate confirmed public pricing from custom quotes and mark third-party or older prices with an asterisk.

Descriptions and ordering

Descriptions are independently written summaries. “Best for” and highlights are editorial judgments based on public room, equipment and service information—not guarantees. Default ordering balances usefulness, geography and variety; filters and comparisons do not imply a paid ranking. Sponsored placement, if ever offered, will be conspicuously labeled.

Corrections and removals

Studios and readers can submit corrections through Request a Listing. We may request evidence and will correct material errors when verified. We may decline or remove listings that are unverifiable, misleading, unsafe, closed, outside the coverage area or inconsistent with editorial standards.

Owner-verified information and talent listings

An owner-verified label means Trackside approved a submitted connection between an authenticated account and a listing; it is not a background check, credential verification or endorsement. Owner-supplied updates are identified separately from independent editorial summaries.

Talent profiles are compiled from public professional portfolios and marketplace pages. Credits, rates, availability and services can change and should be confirmed directly. Inclusion does not imply that Trackside has hired, vetted or recommends a person.
