- Americana · soul · blues rock
Jo James’s official electronic press kit says a new album arrives September 18. It describes the Austin artist’s music as a meeting point for Americana, soul and blues rock, driven by soulful vocals, blues-infused guitar and songs about resilience, redemption, identity and hope.
The official pages reviewed this morning do not publish an album title or track list, so this story does not guess at either. The artist’s music link currently routes listeners to Spotify, while the official store routes to his Bandcamp catalog.

The venue time should guide arrival
- When
- Arrive before the 7:30 p.m. venue-listed start
- Where
- South Lamar
- Lineup / admission
- Artist calendar says 8 p.m.; venue and ticketing say 7:30 p.m.
Jo James’s calendar labels the appearance as a full-band album release show and displays 8 p.m. The 04 Center and Prekindle both display a 7:30 p.m. showtime, with doors at 6:30 p.m.
Because the venue controls doors and the ticketing listing, plan around 7:30 p.m. and recheck the live listing before leaving. That avoids treating the artist calendar’s rounded time as a later official start.
